A Street Roll Around a Lattice Tower
A sequence of street photographs unified by a recurring red-and-white lattice tower glimpsed from different vantage points, framed by a staircase, an avenue, an expressway, and finally a building where window washers work.
The sequence opens with a view through an open window onto a narrow street lined with utility poles and tangled overhead wires. It continues with a red-and-white lattice tower rising behind a stone staircase, and later at the vanishing point of a wide avenue between a glass high-rise marked 'APA' and a pale stone building.
One frame breaks from the street views entirely: an out-of-focus wash of deep red, lavender, and pale blue-white with no discernible subject beyond color. Elsewhere, a dark car with one headlight lit passes beneath the concrete underside of an elevated expressway, with glass office towers rising behind it.
The sequence closes with a high, wide view of a glass-and-steel office building, where three window washers are visible on ropes at different heights along its facade. Several frames carry faint yellow date-stamp digits reading '1 9 '04', though these do not confirm when the photographs were taken. The exact location and identity of the lattice tower are not established by the visible frames alone.
