Deer Grazing Beside a Rippled River
Five elevated frames of a deer grazing in bankside grass beside a rippled river, moving from close, partly obscured views through a sun-flared frame to a wider view where the water dominates.
The sequence opens on a slope of grass above a river, where a deer stands largely hidden, only an ear and the curve of its back visible above the green. A companion frame holds nearly the same view, the deer still mostly folded into the vegetation as rippled water fills the top of the frame.
A vertical frame brings the deer's head and one ear into closer view beside a pale rock, warm side light spreading a golden haze across the grass. Another frame adds a bright, circular lens flare low in the composition, overlapping the grass below the deer.
The sequence closes by giving most of its space back to the water: a broad field of ripples fills the upper frame, and the deer becomes a small, low shape near the center of the bank, a grey rock resting nearby in the grass.
