The Path Disappears First

Three frames describe autumn through subtraction: first the pavement, then the people, then almost all of the leaves.

leaf-buried corridor / passing walkers / last backlit leaves

Autumn begins here as accumulation. Orange and rust bury a straight path beside chain link until the ground becomes a single continuous surface; in the second frame, three walkers recede along the same vanishing line, small against the corridor.

The last image breaks the route open and looks up. A slender tree keeps its remaining orange leaves beside a pale building as sunlight cuts across the lawn. The sequence starts with what has fallen and ends with what has not.

Fallen orange and brown leaves cover a straight path between partly bare trees, with a chain-link fence running along the left toward the distance.
A low, ground-level view down a straight fence-lined path completely covered in fallen leaves. Trees on the left still hold dense yellow foliage while those on the right are mostly bare, under a pale blue sky.

The same fence-lined corridor, now occupied: three walkers move away down its center over a thick spread of fallen leaves. Trees on the left still hold yellow leaves while those on the right are mostly bare.
