Double Exposure B&W (II)

Layered exposures where two scenes coexist in one frame, moving from painted surfaces to sky, architecture, water, and stone.

The sequence opens on a painted wall where an open mouth with white teeth hangs above a school of large-eyed fish and a white bird, two painted layers bleeding through each other. It then lifts into the sky: a small airplane crosses bright, broken cloud with a faint darker form ghosted along the left, and a horse and rider stand in full silhouette against a flaring sun with bare branches at the corner.

The middle frames turn to buildings. Four glowing rings stack above a pale domed tower, seven seated figures rest on two shelves while a faint rounded shape glows up through the tiled floor, and a ribbed dome with a columned base appears beneath rippled shallow water below a rocky bank.

It closes with a moored sailboat and waterfront buildings overrun by palm fronds and crossing lines, and finally a rough stone gable between two capped columns where a painted bird head with a hooked beak surfaces from the masonry. In every frame the overlap is visible as one scene showing through another.
