Wood Room, Night Street

A sequence that alternates between a still, warmly lit interior and blurred, brightly lit exteriors after dark, bookended by two frames where light itself is the subject.

The sequence opens with wide bands of red, orange, and yellow light crossing a dark frame, a small blue numeric readout glowing beneath them. It then settles into a wood-paneled room: a white bed under a backlit curtain, a blurred seated person holding a cone-shaped item, the bed alone with an orange glow at the left edge, and a woman in a long white skirt standing at the wall looking down at a small device.

Outside, the frames loosen. A white van marked AMBULANCE streaks past in motion blur with red lights burning. A glass-fronted store glows from within: a neon outline sign fills its right window above one mannequin, while a camouflage-patterned ape-head graphic, a second mannequin, and one person browsing occupy the left section. A tilted view of lit, slatted facades turns architecture into diagonal bands of amber, green, and blue.

The set closes on an empty stairwell, gray-edged steps rising past wire-mesh railings and tiled walls under a greenish cast, with two frosted light panels glowing at left.
