Night Walk, Date-Stamped Roll
A night sequence moving from a shop window display through neon-lit streets and waiting traffic, up to a scribbled high-rise and a blurred car, closing at a lantern-strung street stall, every frame carrying the same in-camera date stamp.
The sequence opens at a dark shop window holding two cat-eared mascot figures, then looks straight up at a tall pink signboard bearing a black silhouette and signage including CASINO and 麻雀 lettering. A long exposure next smears a neon-lit street into vertical streaks of color, a HOTEL GRACERY sign doubling itself overhead.
The camera then pauses at a night intersection, looking past a red helmet at another waiting rider, before tilting up at a dark high-rise whose scattered lit windows are dragged into scribbles of gold light. A deep blue car crosses the street in a blur of looping light trails.
The sequence closes at a street stall strung with bare bulbs and round lanterns, large cursive calligraphy floating across the dark sky above it. Every included frame carries the same yellow digital date stamp, reading 1 6 '04, printed by the camera itself.
