The roll opens at an intersection where a corner building has given every inch of its face to warm yellow signboards, glowing like a paper lantern scaled up to four storeys. Below it the street is nearly still: a white van paused mid-block, a couple of figures at the curb, a lone traffic cone on duty, and zebra stripes fanning out across dark asphalt as if the crossing itself were the main attraction.

Then the camera climbs. From a walkway above the street, a narrow building becomes a vertical ledger of commerce — a pharmacy, a tennis shop, a dermatology clinic in cool teal, each floor announcing itself in turn while a second column of signs burns down the alley behind. One frame holds the tower steady; the next lets it smear into streaks of blue and white, the long exposure admitting that night on film is a negotiation. From the same height, a dark car slides across the crosswalk below, its glossy roof catching the streetlight while pedestrians blur into suggestion.

The last frames tilt all the way back. A glass high-rise leans across the sky, a music shop's block-letter sign juts into the corner, and behind it all the moon works its way through a bank of clouds — twice, from two angles, as if the photographer kept waiting for it to clear. The roll signs off with a single neon tiger, drawn in yellow-green tubing against the dark, holding its post like the city's night-shift mascot.
