After Hours, Seven Interruptions
Seven unconnected night-time street frames that hold together through shared tone: artificial light, motion blur, and glimpses of urban clutter.
The sequence opens in an empty nighttime parking lot beside a concrete wall, with a lit vending machine, signage, two traffic cones, and a crouching figure at the edge of the frame. It continues at a storefront where red and yellow plastic crates and foam boxes are stacked beside a glowing sign and string lights.
The night turns brighter and more saturated: a pink neon tube shaped like an ear glows in a dark room, a man pauses at an orange wall covered in posters and stickers, and a dark car with a legible '55-55' plate passes a chain-link fence.
The sequence closes in motion and then stillness: a heavily blurred street scene with a large yellow sign and a woman in a pale blue dress, followed by a quiet green-tiled entryway with four small mailboxes under a lamp.
